Assassin’s Creed Origins is the latest entry in Ubisoft’s action series, and it just might be the most interesting one yet. Set in ancient Egypt, players take control of Bayek as he goes on a quest of revenge to find the men who murdered his son. In addition to witnessing the founding of the Brotherhood of Assassins, players also get to explore a civilization and culture that existed over 2,000 years ago, and interact with iconic historical figures like Cleopatra.
This is also the farthest back in time the Assassin’s Creed series has gone, with the events of Origins taking place a thousand years before the first game, which explored the Third Crusade in the Holy Land. However, Origins also continues the ongoing modern-day storyline involving Abstergo and the assassins.

There are no story spoilers for Assassin’s Creed Origins in the screenshots, though they do show off the first five areas you can get to in the beginning of the game.
