Something New That Forces Us to Explore
I don’t know exactly how to describe this one, but essentially, I can see the developers wanting to add something substantial to the game that would force players to go on a world tour of Vana’diel.
From your starting city, all the way through areas like Attohwa Chasm, Garlaige Citadel, maybe even the newer areas found in Seekers of Adoulin too.
Something rewarding of course, to make it worth the effort, but something also that pulls at the heartstrings of longtime players. A trip down memory lane if you will.
It could be something creative like asking players to get a certain amount of levels in some old popular EXP spots with a modified level sync feature.
You could be asked to kill the Jailer of Love and Kirin or find all the strange apparatuses hidden throughout some of the older areas.
Stuff like that; essentially a massive quest that would allow anyone that partook to retrace their most memorable footsteps from the last 20 years.
