Outriders: Best Solo Class

Outriders has four distinct classes, each with its own particular set of skills. The Devastator specializes in close-quarters combat, the Trickster prefers to attack from the shadows, the Pyromancer uses deadly fire to control crowds, and the Technomancer can apply devastating status effects. If you’re here, though, you’re probably not too interested in seeing how all of these classes interact. In fact, you’re likely wondering what the best solo class is in Outriders so you can survive on Enoch easily without the help of other players.

Here’s what you need to know.

Best Solo Class in Outriders

Let’s start this off by saying every class in Outriders is capable of completing the game from start to finish without the help of any other players. Sure, some have an easier time than others, but ultimately, we recommend playing whatever class looks or feels more fun to you rather than worrying too much about what the best solo class is.

If you’re ever having a hard time, you can always lower the world tier and that will make the game more manageable regardless of your class.

However, you came here for an answer to a question, so let’s get to it. Your experience may vary, and obviously, our answer is going to be subjective, but our choice for the best solo class in Outriders (at least as of launch) is going to have to be the Devastator.

One reason for this is because of its extremely potent and powerful defensive skill, Golem.

Without any mods or upgrades, this skill will reduce incoming damage by a whopping 65% for eight seconds. This might not seem like a very long time, but it’s definitely enough time to get yourself somewhere safe if you’re in a bad spot, or to kill some enemies to get your health back.

With the Golem of Death mod, you can have Golem extended for two seconds for each enemy you kill, allowing you to stay nearly invulnerable even longer. This is an invaluable class skill mod when playing solo in Outriders.

Devastators also get access to Reflect Bullets, another useful defensive skill that allows you to capture all bullets coming your way for ten seconds and then launch them back at your enemies.

The Devastator’s middle tree path also gets access to many other defensive resistance perks that will help keep you alive in even the most dangerous of situations, without needing to sacrifice too much offense.

It’s designed to survive, and as long as you’re patient, you should be able to solo very well with the Devastator.

If you’re looking for something with a bit more of an offensive/aggressive edge, though, our second choice would be the Trickster. This class also has the ability to protect itself by slowing enemies down, teleporting out (and into) danger, create shields for itself, and move quickly around the battlefield.

You won’t be as bulky as a Devastator, so you need to be a bit more careful. In exchange though, you’ll be far more mobile and can control the battlefield to a greater extent.

As for the Pyromancer and Technomancer, they can certainly solo just fine, but their skills are better suited toward party play.
