Breakups suck. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. It can be a hell of a lot harder, though, when said ex is getting all up in your face with their new partner. That’s pretty much the story of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, a romantic comedy that sees Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) heading to a Hawaiian resort in order to help recover from his recent break up with Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). Much to his dismay and disbelief, said ex has arrived at the very same resort with new flame Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) in tow.

Fortunately, Forgetting Sarah Marshall isn’t nearly two hours of poor Peter having his nose rubbed in his own heartbreak. Resort worker Rachel Jansen (Mila Kunis) eventually appears on the scene to provide Peter’s love life with another glimmer of hope.

It’s a goofy film with a fairly predictable storyline and ending, but with ample laughs along the way and solid performances from its great cast, you could do a lot worse than Forgetting Sarah Marshall on Netflix.
