The Xbox E3 2017 Media Briefing came and went, leaving everyone with impressions lingering at the forefront of their minds. Of course, with all those ideas bursting forth they needed to be shared somewhere, and what better place to do that than on Twitter?
The main spotlight of yesterday’s conference belongs to the very first appearance of Project Scorpio, with the official name of Xbox One X. However, reactions to this name so far… weren’t very enthusiastic, as many people found the name to be uninspired and mediocre when compared to its initial code name of “Scorpio.”
"Xbox One X" is the worst name since "Wii U"

“Pushkrimp the Machine” was the original name for Xbox One X #XBOXE3

Xbox One X
We all made the jokes when Xbox One was revealed
And somehow
Some way
They managed to come up with an even dumber name— InsertCleverNameHere (@neufonewhodis) June 11, 2017
Others had some interesting imagination when it came to the reveal of the upcoming console’s name.

As for the price tag of $500, the reaction on Twitter was mixed. Some users found it quite suitable for Xbox One X’s powerful specs, while others were concerned that it might be unable to compete with the more affordable PS4 Pro.
Xbox One X is officially $499. It’s a big jump over the original Xbox One but that’s a big price increase over PS4 Pro. #XboxE3

$499 is a bit rich for Xbox One X. Takes pressure off Sony for tomorrow, but they may cut PS4 Pro price anyway

Xbox One X starts at $499.

During the Xbox Media Briefing, Microsoft brought over 40 games to the stage, with 22 being exclusive to Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Windows 10. However, only a few became the stars of the show, with the shining examples of Sea of Thieves….
This is the best showcase of Sea of Thieves so far. Really feels like classic Rare.

Finally Sea of Thieves! I can't wait for the train wreck that is my friends and I trying to operate a boat. It's gonna be awesome! #XboxE3

….then we have things like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (which is basically The Hunger Games simulator).
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Xbox One X? WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING?!!!!!!

However, there’s also criticism for other ones, such as Crackdown 3 with its Terry Crews gameplay trailer, featuring absolutely no destruction.
What about the city destruction in Crackdown 3, that kinda looked like it had none. The overpass didn't even break with 14 rockets.

Bit worried about Crackdown 3, though. Looks like they've dropped a lot of the cool destruction stuff completely.

For anyone who doesn’t know what the destruction in Crackdown 3 look like, here’s a short example:

Also, Microsoft is trying to cram the trend of MOBA with a new game called The Darwin’s Project. And its presentation couldn’t be worse…
The Darwin's Project was kind of annoying. Super weird.
— Joe Vargas (@AngryJoeShow) June 11, 2017
Oh no Xbox what is you doing. This sudden "ESports" transition for Darwin feels so forced #E32017

In the midst of mixed reactions, the news of Xbox Original Games announced to be playable on Xbox One apparently saved the day (again!)

It looks like this year’s Xbox E3 Media Briefing still can’t convince the gaming community much with what they’re currently offering. Sure, Xbox One X is a true powerhouse for 4K gaming, despite its awful name. But its game library just isn’t outstanding at the moment. Judging from recent Twitter reactions, Microsoft may have lots of catching up to do if they want to keep up with their rivals.
