mario kart 64

Bringing the kart racing series into 3D for the first time, Mario Kart turned 1997 into one of the best years to own a Nintendo 64. With its battle mode and split-screen multiplayer, 64 was the bee’s knees and the reason to own multiple controllers back then. This was the first game in the franchise to add ghost racing into the mix instead of just racing against a clock.

Mario Kart 64 is sitting at a solid Metascore of 83 based on 15 critics while the user score is at 8.7.
