Life is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 1
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
To be clear, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is simply such a good time that I’d be tempted to put it on this list even if the trophies weren’t easy. When a game is just incredibly enjoyable to play, collecting trophies usually tends to feel like child’s play even if the game made you swear for it. In this case, however, you don’t have to worry about any of that. Life is Strange: Before the Storm allows you to have an incredible time all while collecting easy trophies and rushing your way to another platinum. While there are some optional trophies throughout the game, they can all easily be earned in one play through. Completing the different episodes in the game will give you trophies and you’ll have to get all the others by completing the optional graffiti.
Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2 – Episode 2
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
Just like all the games that came before it, the latest episode of Minecraft Story Mode is a ton of fun and an easy way to get some new trophies. Season two of Minecraft Story Mode kicked off last month with “Hero in Residence.” On August 15, Telltale Games rolled out “Giant Consequences” as Jesse and gang continue on their strange journey. This episode picks up following our beloved heroes return from the Sea Temple with an unexpected new travel companion. All you’ll have to do to earn all the game’s trophies is to simply complete the story.
Remember, the Platinum won’t pop until you complete all the episodes. But, since you simply need to complete them and it doesn’t matter what you choose, you may as well get that head start.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
The road to platinum is a short one in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The game only has a total of 15 trophies if you count the platinum earned by collecting all the other trophies and they are all incredibly easy to snag. If you remain focused, you can easily collect them all in far less than eight hours but eight will probably end up being the max for most players.
As if the short list of trophies wasn’t enough to make getting a platinum feel like a piece of cake, you are welcome to use any difficulty you want to earn all the trophies. That means if you’re in the mood for trophy collecting and don’t really care much for having hurdles to jump over, you can set the game on its easiest setting and charge right through.
Batman: The Enemy Within Episode 1
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
Telltale Games’ Batman series made a triumphant return with The Enemy Within. This episode follows Gotham’s sworn protector and picks up during a time when Batman has only recently started to get his reputation back. The people of Gotham are putting their trust in their bat-themed hero and all is well in the world. Until The Riddler shows up that is. The Riddler seems determined to terrorize every living being in Gotham and it’s up to Batman to put a stop to it.
Batman: The Enemy Within presents the same Telltale Games formula we all know and love just wrapped with Batman gift paper. That means you can expect all the usual things you’d get from a Telltale Game — a well-written story, choices that will have you chew your nail down to the cuticle and, of course, a collection of easy trophies. If you really want to add a shiny new platinum to your trophy collection, you’ll pretty much just have to finish all of the episodes.
Warriors: All-Stars
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
Warriors: All-Stars is pretty much what Koei Tecmo fans probably write down on their Christmas lists and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Its appeal is niche and its entertainment value is limited but for the few weeks you’ll spend being completely entertained and enthralled by seeing characters from Koei Tecmo’s most iconic franchises sharing the same battlefield, you’ll be incredibly happy with the experience. Warriors: All-Stars is your usual hack and slasher experience. It just looks cool and panders to the part of you that fans out over the sheer presence of certain characters — and I’m perfectly okay with that.
Anyway, if you couldn’t care less about seeing Kasumi and Atelier Sophie in the same game, you can at least get excited about the easy trophies the game provides you with. This hack and slasher formula just makes for an incredibly easily gaming experience overall so it’s hard to even make a challenge that actually feels… well… challenging. You will probably accidentally stumbled across most of the trophies by simply playing through the game. Building relationships, obtaining gold, and finishing the story mode all dish out stackable trophies for you to add to your collection.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series – Episode 3
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
Gamora and Nebula’s intense relationship take the forefront during episode of three of Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The episode explores the origins of the sisters’ resentment towards each other while introducing a new character to the bunch. It’s another well-written Telltale game and, yet again, an easy way to buff up your trophy collection. As with all of its other Telltale siblings, you’ll pretty much just need to complete the episode to find yourself with a nice new platinum trophy to brag about.
Madden NFL 18
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
Some sports games can be a major headache for players who are looking for an easy way to add trophies to their collection. That’s usually because online trophies can be a nuisance and some sports games require a lot of time. That’s not the case with Madden NFL 18. If you’re a sports-loving trophy collector, consider your wildest dream come true. Madden NFL 18 has a collection of trophies that are pretty easy and you would be able to find yourself with a platinum in about 7 to 8 hours if it wasn’t for one pesky challenge. While the vast majority of Madden NFL 18’s trophies are easy to nab, the Full Set trophy can be pretty time-consuming. This trophy asks you to win at least one game with each of the 32 NFL teams. The good news is that wins count across all game modes so it’s a pretty easy trophy to get. It’s just going to require quite a bit of extra time. Either way, with less than five online trophies, you can get a platinum in Madden NFL 18 in about 12 hours.
Undertale
Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of August 2017
It may have taken two long years but Undertale finally made its way to console and there’s a lot of reasons to be happy about that. The most obvious reason being that Undertale is a superb game that pays homage to the classics in the best way possible. Undertale somehow finds a way to feel nuanced and innovative at the same time and it’s a downright joy to play. The other reason Undertale finally landing on PS4 is exciting news is that the game is basically a new poster child for easy trophy collecting. There are 30 trophies up for grabs in Undertale and you’ll grab a lot of them by simply showing up at new locations in the game and collecting items. Not even like collecting certain well-hidden items or anything like that, but by simply picking up items you will get a trophy. The best part is that Undertale’s list of trophies is hilarious. The game features trophies with names like “Don’t Worry, I Have Lots of Ideas for Trophies,” “Like Getting Items,” “Or Getting More Items,” and “Help Me, I’m Out of Ideas.”
