tekken 7, tekken bowl

When a fighter comes to consoles, it’s usually accompanied by a pretty challenging trophy list. Yet, when Tekken 7 released on the PS4 just last month, trophy hunters were pleasantly surprised to find a list that could be easily cleared in the space of a weekend.

Tekken 7’s trophy list consists of 43 trophies including its platinum, and many of these will be unlocked simply by advancing through the game’s story. You’ll finally reach the conclusion of the Mishima family feud, as the devil gene takes center stage once more. The rest of the trophies are fairly easy to clear out, too. Many can be unlocked in the game’s practice mode, and the others don’t take much skill to unlock. Plus, for a bit of extra help, you can always check out our trophy guide!

Telltale’s Episodic Offerings

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Guardians of the Galaxy episode two

While we haven’t yet seen a full Telltale series release in 2017, between Guardians of the Galaxy’s first two episodes and the final three episodes of A New Frontier, there’s plenty of incredibly easy trophies to pick up here. Whatever choices you make along the way don’t affect the fact that you’ll be treated to a bunch of shiny trophies in each episode.

That’s because Telltale Games’ episodic series now simply require you to complete all of its chapters in order to achieve 100% of its trophies. With each series coming in at around 12 hours, that’s very little work to add a new, shiny platinum trophy to your collection.

The Town of Light

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

The Town of Light may only be a short, narrative-driven experience, but it still has a platinum trophy up for grabs. The game centers around you exploring an asylum in Tuscany and making decisions along the way. There’re no tough boss battles to beat here either, though you will have to fully explore the world if you want to get all of the trophies.

Even so, getting all 21 of The Town of Light’s trophies isn’t an overly difficult task. Running through the game once will run you a few hours, and then you can use the chapter select option to clear up any remaining trophies you’ve yet to get. In the space of about five hours (with the help of a trophy guide), you should be one platinum trophy richer.

Seasons After Fall

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Seasons After Fall not only looks beautiful, but it has a pretty interesting mechanic at its core. Players assume control of a fox that has the ability to change the seasons at will. The different weather that comes as part of these seasons allows said fox to reach new areas and progress through the game. It’s not necessarily the most challenging game in the world, but it’s certainly unique. Plus, its 22 trophies are a cake walk to get along the way.

While there are some collectibles you’ll need to grab along the way, the game often leads you right to them. Just keep an eye out for one or two tucked away out of plain sight. Aside from that, the game is a fairly short experience and many of the trophies will unlock naturally as your progress. If you’re looking for something different which can also bolster your trophy count, Seasons After Fall is well worth a look.

Black & White Bushido

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Black & White Bushido is quite possibly the most unknown game on this list. Players are put either onto the Light or Shadow team who then must defeat their opponents or capture the flag. It’s a simple, 2D title, but its simple trophy list is certainly an alluring element.

The game only has 13 trophies, but all of these can be unlocked within 30 minutes of starting the game. Just make sure you’ve got a second controller and you can just boost the entire trophy list on your own in no time at all.

Little Nightmares

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

little nightmares, expansion pass, secrets of the maw

Little Nightmares is way more sinister and creepy than it sounds. You’ll take control of Six, a young girl in a yellow raincoat as she tries to escape the creepy world of the Maw. As she’s a child, she’s not capable of facing off against the monsters patrolling each of the different areas she makes her way through, so instead, each area essentially becomes one big game of cat and mouse.

There are 13 trophies for you to get in Little Nightmares, though, unfortunately, a platinum is not one of them. However, the list is still fairly easy to unlock with the help of a guide. Simply keep an eye out for the Nomes and vases scattered throughout the levels, and complete some straightforward objectives along the way for the game’s secret trophies. While its “Hard to the Core” trophy might cause you some issues, with some practice and patience, it’s more than doable.

What Remains of Edith Finch

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

indie, april 2017, what remains of edith finch

What Remains of Edith Finch is essentially an anthology of the final moments of a number of Finch family members’ lives. These stories are told in a variety of ways to keep things fresh, whether you’re swinging higher than ever on a swing, flicking through the pages of a slasher comic book, or soaring through the skies as an owl.

The game’s nine trophies are incredibly easy to get, though once again this game doesn’t have a platinum. With this being a story-driven experience, many of them require you to do simple things along the way. As long as you don’t miss any of the peepholes or telescopes littered throughout the experience, you should have relatively little problem grabbing all of these trophies in a single playthrough.

Rime

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Tequila Works’ Rime finally released in May after a problematic development cycle caused by Sony pulling out of publishing the title. Players find themselves on a mysterious island full of puzzles to overcome and platforming sections to scale as they try and work out the story behind the shipwrecked boy they’re controlling.

Though unlocking all 32 trophies may seem like a daunting task at first, it becomes a much more straightforward task when you’re equipped with a guide to ensure you don’t miss any collectibles or missable trophies.

Cars 3: Driven to Win

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Cars 3: Driven to Win may be a movie tie-in for one of this summer’s big kids movies, but it’s actually a pretty fun one at that. From the developers behind the now-defunct Disney Infinity series, Cars 3 puts players in control of their favorite characters as they zip around iconic locations from the movie.

Cars 3’s 22 trophies are all fairly straightforward. Though its Playground Challenges can be a little time-consuming, there’s nothing massively tricky that’s going to really stop you in your tracks. Plus, if you do get stuck, you can drop the difficulty right down and ease your way to a few shiny new trophies in no time.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Ghost Recon Wildlands, easiest, xbox one, achievements, march 2017

Ubisoft continued its trend of recent years of bringing massive, open-world, online-focused games to players’ systems with Ghost Recon: Wildlands back in March. Players make up a team of four elite spec ops agents as they embark on a covert mission to destroy a drug cartel operating in Bolivia. While fun on your own, the game really comes into its own when playing with others, and this will also help when it comes to clearing the game’s trophy list.

Thankfully, many of Wildlands’ 44 trophies will unlock as you progress your way through the game’s story. However, there are a few odd trophies relating to collectibles and maxing out your XP and levels that can feel like a bit of a grind. That’s where having friends to play through the game will help you when it comes to grabbing that platinum. Not only does it make the experience more enjoyable, but you can all help one another seek out the collectibles and grind your way to the max level cap together.

Pyre

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Pyre

Supergiant Games, the creators of Bastion and Transistor, released Pyre in 2017. Anyone that’s played their previous games will know that the trophy lists aren’t tough, and Pyre’s is no different. While there are some challenge in the form of completing certain tasks, almost everything can be done in one playthrough with the help of a guide.

Also, since the game isn’t extremely long (8-10 hours depending on how good you are at it), it’s an easy weekend platinum for the PS4. The list is made up of 50 trophies, including 38 bronzes, 9 silvers, 2 golds, and that all important platinum.

Black The Fall

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Black The Fall

Black the Fall is a puzzle-platformer created by Romanian developer Sand Sailor Studio that tells a dark story of an old man who attempts to escape Communist oppression alongside a robot dog and and ingenious device. It’s atmospheric, the puzzles are clever and varied, and the influences of the developers’ experiences are clear to see. It’s not a very long game, being made up of 15 trophies and taking just a few hours to finish, and anything cryptic can be solved with the help of a guide.

Most of the trophies revolve around finding events off the beaten path, but none are so far off that you’ll be lost forever. Play it once or twice and you’ll have the all important platinum.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Life is Strange: Before the Storm may follow the same episodic structure as Telltale’s games, but the trophy list isn’t the same level of easy. Before the Storm instead prompts players to explore a little more to reap the reward. In a similar fashion to the optional photo opportunities in the original Life is Strange, Before the Storm asks you to find and complete ten optional graffiti in each of the three episodes. Some of them you’ll find as you play, but some require a little more hunting. They aren’t difficult things to do and the locations can be found easily with the use of a guide. Complete all of them, and the episodes themselves, and you’ll unlock the platinum trophy.

The trophy list is made up of 35 trophies, including 15 bronzes, 15 silvers, four golds, and a platinum. It also helps that Before the Storm is a fantastic prequel to the original game.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

It won’t take long to get the platinum in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The list is made up of just 15 trophies, including the platinum, and many of the remainder are gold trophies, all of which are easy to snag. If you pay attention throughout, you can easily collect them all in eight hours or less.

As if the short list full of golds and silvers wasn’t enough, you are welcome to use any difficulty you want to earn all the trophies. That means if you’re simply on a trophy hunting mission and don’t really care much for being challenged, you can set the game on its easiest setting and speed through.

Planet of the Apes: The Last Frontier

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Planet of the Apes: The Last Frontier is one of the many PlayStation Play Link games that came to PlayStation 4 in the latter half of 2017. Unlike the more round based, quiz type games, in The Last Frontier you follow a story, choosing how it plays out. With the star of the Apes movies, Andy Serkis, heavily involved, and some tough choices to make along the way, The Last Frontier is perfect for fans of the recent films.

It’s a great choice for trophy hunters, too. The game is only a few hours long, so clearing up the 19 bronzes, 12 silvers, four golds, and all important platinum shouldn’t take too long. The descriptions, which say things such as ‘peaceful win,’ ‘apes win,’ and ‘humans win’ when talking about finishing the game, suggest that you will need to complete the game a few times to get the platinum. Doing so shouldn’t take too long, though.

Aer: Memories of Old

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

aer

2017’s atmospheric exploration game, Aer: Memories of Old, is a simple game with a platinum that can be attained in less than two hours. The game sees you fly around an open-world as a bird, finding islands and dungeons to explore. Many of the dungeons feature puzzles, but none of them are challenging, and many of the trophies require you to do little more than visit the places. The list is made up of just 21 trophies, all of which (aside from the platinum) are gold or silver, and you should be able to get them in just one sitting.

Dying Reborn

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Dying: Reborn

Dying Reborn is far from the highest rated game of the year, having been universally panned by critics. However, since it’s just a hour or two long, you won’t have to suffer for long as you work towards that platinum. It is a first-person, escape room/horror themed, point and click adventure game in which you have to quickly solve puzzles.

The trophy list is made up of 20 trophies, including six silvers, 13 golds, and one platinum. All of them can be unlocked in one playthrough, as long as you keep an eye out for the memo collectibles and use a guide to perform a specific task in each section. Be aware, however, that only the PS4 version features a platinum, so do not download the VR version if you’re on the hunt for an easy trophy list.

Energy Cycle

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

achievements

Energy Cycle is comfortably one of the quickest platinums to unlock but that is mainly due to an in-game exploit. It is a puzzle game that tasks you with changing the color or orbs to match the solution. It’s not a tough game, and the solutions to all the puzzles can be found online, but unlocking the platinum can be incredibly easy.

All you have to do is complete the first level on a game mode, wait for the first trophy to pop, and then spam to X button until all the trophies unlock. Do it for each of the modes and the game’s 19 trophies, including four bronzes, six silvers, and eight golds, and you’ll have the platinum in a matter of minutes.

36 Fragments of Midnight

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

36 Fragments of Midnight is probably the most simple package on this list. It is really cheap, has just one level, and features a platinum that can be unlocked in less than half an hour. Surprisingly, however, it is actually quite fun. It is a platformer in which you take control of a white cube as you attempt to collect all 36 fragments and return them to the start point.

The trophy list is made up of just 12 trophies, all of which are gold (aside from the platinum). The only challenge is the trophy that requires you to collect all the fragments in six minutes, but the level is small enough for it to not be too tough.

Mr. Massagy

Easiest PS4 Trophies & Platinums of 2017 So Far

Mr Massagy

Mr. Massagy is from the creators of My Name is Mayo, the game that kick-started the recent string of games with easy trophy lists. It is a quirky dating sim game and you can unlock the platinum in around 15 to 20 minutes. You may need a guide to help you choose the correct dialogue options that get you through the game quickly. The trophy list is also quite substantial, being made up of 34 trophies, and you’ll be able to get all of them within a matter of minutes.
