Sid Meier’s Civilization VI (Nov. 16)

And here we have the famous “one more turn” game. Civilization VI probably needs no introduction at this point, but just in case you’re new to this dangerous series, Civ VI is essentially a management sim in which you build your own civilization from the ground up. As the years go by, you’ll make more modern improvements to your country, and your goal is to be the most advanced civilization in the world.

Of course, you could also eliminate the competition by just creating better combat units and going to war with the whole world for a domination victory. But if you’d like to approach things with a little more finesse, you could achieve victory through cultural, religious, or scientific dominance instead. In addition to that, you’ll also need to make sure your people are happy and satisfied.

With the Switch port, Civ VI will be making use of the console’s touchscreen capabilities as well, which should make this a much more manageable game to control. Civilization VI is one of the best games in its genre, and should be one of the best time-wasting Switch games you can get once it releases this November.
