Sword Gai: The Animation is another anime premiering this month that will no doubt satiate your thirst for fires and neat explosions. After being found as a newborn baby deep in the forest, protagonist Gai grows up to become the apprentice of a sword smith. Things don’t quite end up happily ever after once Gai is brought into this life, as the young man looses his arm in an accident. Luckily, the boy’s master takes an old sword called Shiryuu and uses it to make a new arm for Gai.

Little do both individuals know, Shiryuu is actually an ancient sword harnessing demonic powers that has been passed down for generations. Now one with the darkness, Gai must commit to the responsibilities of using his newfound powers to his advantage to rid himself of whatever demons may come his way. Get ready for a lot of fight scenes with this one. Sword Gai: The Animation premieres March 23 on Netflix.
