It was a long time coming, but Nintendo actually managed to score the Cloud Strife for Super Smash Bros. This Final Fantasy icon finally earned a spot to fight against some of the biggest mascots in the gaming scene, and he sure knows how to pull his weight. Not only is he one of the most popular heroes in the game, the SOLDIER ranks as an A-list fighter in the meta.
Sadly, all good things usually come to an end, and there could be a chance that Cloud won’t be returning in the next game. Cloud only appears in the game as a DLC character, meaning he wasn’t actually part of the core roster to begin with. On top of that, Square Enix or Nintendo could choose to replace him with an entirely different character, such as Noctis or Sora, depending on their agreements.
