Luigi’s Mansion 3

Luigi is back and is more scared than he’s ever been before. While the sequel to the original Luigi’s Mansion winded up on the 3DS with a more level-based structure with stages instead of one open area to explore, Luigi’s Mansion 3 apparently seems to go back to basics with him exploring one really tall spooky mansion.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 has only received one teaser trailer, but from watching it, we can see that this new iteration in this action-adventure series certainly uses the power of the Switch as it looks glorious in HD.

We don’t know if this sequel will inherit that Metroidvania-esque exploration that was present in the original GameCube title, but we’re sure that there will be tons of puzzles, ghosts to suck up in Luigi’s trusty vacuum, and frightening bosses to overcome.

While this sequel doesn’t look like it does much new for the series, it still looks like a genuinely enjoyable experience with our favorite timid hero, Luigi.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is due for release in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
