Just Cause 4
The Just Cause series is renowned for its absurd level of destruction, giving players a virtual sandbox to play in where they can blow up practically whatever they want. Just Cause 4 is looking to double down on that idea, giving you more options than ever before.
Of course you have all the cars, planes, rockets, weapons, and more that you might expect from a Just Cause game. However, the big change with this newest entry is its diverse extreme weather system. This new system, built on Avalanche’s Apex engine, drops intense weather events right into the world of Just Cause 4 to wreak havoc.
Tornadoes, blizzards, sandstorms, and more will all provide a new intense challenge for Rico to overcome while contending with the armies of the Black Hand. It remains to be seen how Just Cause 4 pans out in the end, but at least so far it looks even more ridiculous than the rest of the series.

Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight
Persona 4: Dancing All Night was a big surprise for Persona fans, taking the characters from the popular JRPG and putting them into a rhythm-based dancing experience. The game was a big hit, and sported some fantastic remixes of an already stellar soundtrack. Now fans can dance again, this time to the tunes of Persona 3 and Persona 5.
Dancing in Moonlight and Dancing in Starlight are two separate standalone games that use the characters and music of Persona 3 and Persona 5 respectively. Just like Dancing All Night, the two games sport a host of original music as well as brand new remixes.
Although the games don’t have proper story modes, there are Social modes that let you talk to and get to know the characters of Persona 3 and 5 even better. For Persona fans it’s once again a chance to mingle with these beloved characters, but even if you’ve never touched Persona there’s some good musical rhythm gameplay to get into anyway.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales
The Witcher 3 catapulted CD Projekt Red to massive success, garnering tons of GOTY awards in the process. Now players can finally return to the world of The Witcher with the standalone Gwent-based game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.
Thronebreaker has been available on PC for a couple months, and we adored the game in our review giving it a 4.5/5. The title tells a brand new story in the Witcher universe following Meve, Queen of Rivia and Lyria, as she tries to take back her country from the Niflgaard invasion.
Battles in Thronebreaker take the form of Gwent matches, but the game consistently introduces new and unique rules or instances. Along your journey, you’ll upgrade your army’s camp with resources you’ve collected and recruit new units and characters.
The writing in Thronebreaker is consistently excellent, matching even that of The Witcher 3, and strong voice acting helps support the already interesting characters. There’s nothing else out there like Thronebreaker, a massive single-player card RPG, and it’s one any fan of the Witcher or card games absolutely need to have on their radar.

The Last Remnant Remastered
Square Enix has a ton of RPG properties under their belt, many of which are lesser known by a wider audience. One of those games is The Last Remnant, a unique JRPG that release on Xbox 360 in 2008 and then on PC in 2009.
Square Enix is giving the game a second lease on life with The Last Remnant Remastered, which recreates the title in Unreal Engine 4 and provides a host of changes, like a fast run option while in the field.
The Last Remnant was met with middling reviews when it originally released, mostly due to some repetitive gameplay and some serious technical issues. Still, the Last Remnant definitely did some interesting things, namely with its battle system.
Instead of having individual party members, you instead organize multiple characters into Unions which serve as combat units in battle. Unions can have different properties and strengths depending on the characters in them, and the system allows for some stunning massive-scale battles that you don’t typically find in a JRPG.
Hopefully, the technical upgrade can help smooth out the technical problems The Last Remnant originally had, and make it a JRPG even more worth playing.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
PlayUnknown’s Battlegrounds, known as PUBG, is the game that started it all, kicking off the massive battle royale trend. After being available on PC and Xbox One, PUBG finally makes its way to PS4 owners.
If you’ve played a battle royale game before, you know what to expect. Up to 100 players drop into a giant map with a circle that constantly shrinks in on them, until there’s only one person left. PUBG still has a huge player that consistently jumps into the game, and it’s received a wealth of updates and new content since its launch.
Unfortunately, the game will have two big established battle royale experiences to compete against on PS4, with Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s Blackout and the mega-hit Fortnite. Still, it should provide a robust addition to those looking for more variation to their battle royale game time, and PUBG is a fine game in its own right.
