The Walking Dead Michonne: Episode 3
Another month, another set of easy trophies in a Telltale game. As was the case for episode one and two of Michonne, the spin-off of the main Walking Dead series, the trophy list for episode three features seven bronze trophies, all of which are unlocked by completing chapters of the game.
Episode 3 is the conclusion of Michonne’s story and players continue to learn about her past, as well as more about the world of The Walking Dead.
The trophy list for the whole of season one features 21 bronze trophies and nothing else. All of them require the player to do nothing more than finish the game once. The trophy list might not be very inventive, but it is certainly easy. Check out our reviews of episode one and episode two!
This month also sees the physical release of an older Telltale game, Tales from the Borderlands. The spin-off of the popular shooter is hilarious, features great characters, and has a very easy trophy list. There is a platinum and many golds, and all you have to do is finish the story.
Severed
Severed is the next game from Drinkbox, the studio that developed the excellent Guacamelee. It is a first-person dungeon crawler that takes advantage of the Vita’s touchscreen with its combat. As you explore the world, you will come across various enemies that you will have to defeat using tactics and quick reactions in order to progress. Similarly to Guacamelee, Severed’s trophy list is quite simple, with a lot of easy gold trophies.
The list features 25 trophies (6 bronze, 12 silver, 6 gold, and 1 platinum) and most of them unlock in one playthrough, which should take 6-7 hours. Five of the six golds are awarded for killing enemies so they should unlock quickly and the silvers are for finding story items, killing enemies, and upgrading your character. The tricky ones are ‘explore every area to 100% completion’ (silver) and ‘find every secret’ (silver) but since the game isn’t very long the post-game clear up is quick.
Ratchet and Clank
Ratchet and Clank is a child friendly game with light humour and colorful characters. Of course, the series has been popular with the adult gamer, but the games have always been developed with accessibility in mind and the trophy list of this month’s reboot is no exception. Ratchet and Clank’s trophy list is made of 47 trophies including 30 bronzes, 14 silvers, 2 golds, and a platinum.
A large number of the trophies, including one gold, are unlocked by completing the main story. There are also hidden trophies for doing certain things in the world, such as, being eaten by a shark on one of the planets. To platinum the game, you will have to beat it twice, once being in challenge mode, where you can continue to upgrade your weapons and find collectibles. Many of the trophies are for finding collectibles, including all the holocards (gold) and all the gold bolts (silver). However, since you will find many of the collectibles during your first playthrough, it will not take long to clear everything up and get the platinum.

Blues and Bullets
You may not know what exactly Blues and Bullets is. It is an episodic alternate history noir game developed by A Crowd of Monsters in which the player tries to find clues and solve the mystery. As is the case with many episodic game, the trophy list is very simple. The whole season will have 36 trophies, including a platinum, split over six episodes.
By the end of April, two episodes have been released. Each episode has 7 trophies (5 bronze, 1 gold, 1 silver) and all but the gold are unlocked by completing the episode – a la Telltale games. The gold for each episode is awarded when you ‘interact with all the clues and items of interest.’ The Wolf Among Us is another game that followed this style of trophy list and it was not difficult. Completing the story will get you a lot trophies and a little bit of extra effort will get you a platinum trophy and six golds.
Arcade Game Series
Who said only retail games could have platinum trophies? The Arcade Game Series features four classic games, each with a platinum trophy and a long, easy list. The games are as follows: Ms. Pac Man, Pac Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug – each costing just $3.99. Each game is recreated in the center of the screen with art of the game surrounding it. Each game is made up of 21 trophies, including the platinum.
The list for each is similar, with trophies being awarded for clearing levels, achieving certain goals in a round, and for completing certain tasks in a round. For example, a gold is unlocked in Pac Man for eating the pear/banana that appears after eating a set number of Pac-Dots. Golds are also awarded for eating all four ghosts in succession once, twice, or three times in a single round. Pac Man’s trophy list features 9 golds, 5 silvers, and 6 bronzes, all of which a relatively easy, especially for seasoned arcade players. The trophy list of each game in the collection are similar, with a similar ratio of golds, silvers, and bronzes. You can get four platinums cheaply and quickly with the Arcade Game Series.
