Final Fantasy VII (March 26)

best upcoming switch games

It’s Final Fantasy season for the Nintendo Switch, and we couldn’t be more excited. Whether you’ve played it already, Final Fantasy VII is easily one of the best upcoming Switch games releasing in March 2019.

While its title as the best game in the Final Fantasy series is certainly debatable, its quality is undeniable, and it still holds up remarkably well today. Except for the graphics, which looked really awkward and ugly even during the PS1 era, and they certainly don’t look very flattering now.

However, Final Fantasy VII’s combat system continues to be simple, yet effective. The ATB system is fantastic, and FFVII also features the materia equipment system that allows you to spec out your party as you please. The soundtrack is timeless, and the story remains every bit as compelling as you might’ve remembered it from the 90s.
