Breath of the Wild, Master Sword

Breath of the Wild Player’s Trick Returns The Master Sword to the Forest in a Crazy Way

Another epic trick!

It’s been said at nauseam at this point, but it doesn’t make the following statement any less true: four years after its release, Breath of the Wild players are still finding weird, fun tricks that the developers put into the game. This specific feature once again revolves around Link’s Master Sword in Breath of the Wild.

In a post to their YouTube channel, Breath of the Wild player Bigotilyou somehow figured out a way to send the Master Sword back to the Korok Forest. You can see just how this is accomplished in the video down below.

As you can see above, dropping items consecutively while holding the Master Sword overloads the menu and sends the item Skyward. Once it floats into the sky, a prompt letting players know that it has returned to the forest appears.

While there isn’t an exact reason given for how Bigotilyou found this or why it is even in the game, a commenter by the username of YASYTU speculated that it is probably a failsafe that keeps players from losing the Master Sword if they manage to somehow drop it.

It’s a small feature, but an amazing one that adds another layer of depth to the game. What do you think of this? Have you found any other small but awesome things in the game? Let us know in the comment section below.
