First of all, we get to see a few characters including the hero himself and the titular “Poison Girl” who accompanies him.

Next is a couple of rival/allies, nicknamed “Girl in the Mourning Dress” and “White Poison Girl.”

Mitogawa Dorami is a demon lady who runs a souvenir shop in hell, while “A Mysterious Woman Met in Hell” (That’s how she’s called) is a woman dressed in a men’s suit who appears to know both the protagonist and the Poison Girl and has a lot of interesting things to say.

Lastly, the “Black Poison Girl” (Yes, I know, this is getting confusing) is another girl that the protagonist faces in his quest. Usually, poison girls are “delusionals” (basically demons) who become one with a living person, but she doesn’t seem to have a partner. She talks in Kyoto dialect and she behaves in a slightly creepy way.

Once the protagonist successfully purifies one of the girls’ poison swamps he can receive a precious sticker. It’s said that five of those allow going to heaven.

When we try to purify the poison swamps we can meet the related girl’s spiritual manifestation, who can provide hints on how to go about cleansing the place.
