How to Mine Gold in Wild West Online

Recommended Videos

If you want to make money the honest way, you may be interested in trying your hand at mining gold in Wild West Online. To do so, you will first need to acquire a mining pick. They’re on sale at the general store in safe towns, and won’t cost you too dearly.

Next, you’ll have to find a deposit of the shiny stuff. If you’re having trouble locating one, check your gold map for a list of locations where they are typically found in Wild West Online (conversely, the survivalist map will show you where you can find things like small animals and medicinal plants).

Once you have tracked down a deposit, acquiring the loot is as simple as approaching it with your mining pick in hand and holding the E key. Typically, you’ll find smaller nuggets in the surrounding area that you can also collect.

You’ll be best suited taking your gold to town as quickly as possible, as all of the nuggets will be dropped as soon as you die. Other players can identify your booty if they spot that you have a gold pouch on your hip, making you an instant target for those willing to break the law.
