How to Use Console Commands in Dark and Light
Dark and Light has finally hit Steam in early access and players are busy exploring its fantasy world teeming with stunning landscapes and all manner of mythical creatures. While exploring the world in Dark and Light normally is all good fun, you can’t beat some of the crazy outcomes you can get from messing around with console commands. Of course, to actually play around with them, you need to know how to enter and use them first.
To use console commands in Dark and Light, you’ll first need to be logged in as the admin of the server. Once you’ve done this, press numpad (+) and then type “enablecheats” followed by a space and the password to the server. You should then be notified that cheats and console commands have been enabled in your Dark and Light server. Now all you need to do is enter the console commands you wish to enable, press enter, and the rest is history.
If you’re looking for some console commands to get you started, fear not, as we’ve put together a list of some of our favorites and most useful ones below.
- cheat god – Turns on godmode, making you invincible against enemies. You can still drown, though.
- cheat addexperience 1000 0 0 – This will add 1000xp to your character. The value can be changed by simply amending the number.
- cheat giveitemnum (item ID) (quantity) – This one will add items, armor, or weapons to your inventory. All you need to do is enter the item ID followed by the quantity you want to add and press enter.
- cheat fly – As you’d expect, this one allows you to fly around the world, making getting around in Dark and Light much faster and easier.
