Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3’s Epic High Five Was Recreated IRL, and It’s Glorious


Remember when Horizon Zero Dawn first came out, and Aloy was drawn high fiving Geralt from The Witcher 3 and how adorable that was? And then how Guerrilla Games returned the favor not too long after? Well, now it’s been recreated in real life, and yes, it is as amazing as you would expect. This weekend in Dubai is the Middle Eastern Film and Comic-Con, and where there’s a con, there’s cosplay. Cosplayer and YouTuber Lynn Jisr attended MEFCC as Aloy, and cosplayer Saud Al-Hazzani dressed up as Geralt. When their eyes locked, they knew what they had to do. Then, not just content with a high five, they did a picture perfect recreation of Guerrilla’s art.

Now this would be awesome in and of itself. But the fact that Guerrilla Games, the developers behind Horizon Zero Dawn, took notice and congratulated them makes it even better. Witcher 3 devs CD Projekt Red later responded as well, also enthused at the crossover becoming a thing.

All that’s missing is a Watcher from Horizon Zero Dawn or a griffin from Witcher 3 to show up so they can study the corpses together and take photos. Guerrilla has a model of a Watcher on hand, but who knows if CDPR has the griffin…
