Today, Atari announced and simultaneously released RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on iOS and Android.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is a mash-up of the first two games’ features. What this means for fans is that you’ll be able to play the scenarios that task you with meeting certain criteria before proceeding to the next park with the features added in the sequel. Check out the game’s description below.
Create and run amazing parks complete with the most outrageous rides imaginable. RCT Classic includes a mixture of authentic playability, depth of gameplay and unique graphical style of Chris Sawyer’s original best-selling RollerCoaster Tycoon® PC Games, now enhanced for handheld devices. Packed with content, players can enjoy designing and building roller coasters and rides, landscaping parks and managing the staff and finances to keep their guests happy and the money flowing in. Can you become the next RollerCoaster Tycoon?
The base game itself will set you back $5.99 and will include 95 scenarios from the first two games. Two other expansions offer additional scenarios for players to test their theme park expertise against too. Wacky Worlds contains 17 additional scenarios for $1.99, while Time Twisters offers 14 for the same price.
If you’re looking for even more features in the title, you can purchase the Toolkit for $5.99. This adds a bunch more features to the app to bring it more in line with the features available in the PC version. Players will be able to create their own scenarios, design their own rides and save them to use in other scenarios that could do with a new headline addition. If you were thinking about how awesome your old park was and was wishing you could bring it to the mobile game right about now, well, you’re in luck. The additional Toolkit will allow you to import your old PC save files from RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Though the app’s description does state that this is possible for “most saved parks and scenarios.”
