A new fit for your playstyle.

Today, during the Call of Duty XP Global Briefing stream, it was revealed that Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer would be receiving a new feature called Combat Rigs.

Combat Rigs offer unique payloads and traits for players which allow for different styles of play. Of the six included in the game- Warfighter, Stryker, Merc, Phantom, Synaptic, and FTL- we got a closer look at three.

The first of which was the Warfighter Combat Rig. This was identified as the preferred choice for the mid-range assault style player who’s all about fast kills, hunting down the objective, and always being on the offensive. To assist players in this role, the Warfighter has a Claw payload which allows for a spreadshot of ricochet ballistic rounds that allow players to catch their opponent’s from around corners. The Persistence trait will also come in handy, as it prevents players’ scorestreaks from resetting when they die, but at the cost of requiring higher point values.

The Merc Combat Rig is the go-to option for anyone liking to play the Heavy. This loadout comes with an armored riot shield for charging through enemies and defending objectives, as well as a perk which allows for faster health regeneration.

Rounding off our look at the Combat Rigs was the FTL option. Described as the “evolution in covert guerrilla ops,” FTL is equipped with high-tech weaponry. Its Eraser payload has an energy handgun that incinerates enemies when fired. Combined with the Power Slide trait allowing for further and faster sliding, this is a deadly Combat Rig.
