Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: How to Trade

Trading – Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Recommended Videos

Trading has been a part of every Pokemon game since the very beginning, offering players a means of getting those Pokemon unattainable in their version of the two titles. While trading has remained largely the same, there have been some slight tweaks as to how you go about it. Here’s how to trade in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

To trade with a friend in these two games, all you have to do is go through the process of getting your friend’s trainer ID. Once you’ve got this, you can then simply trade with your friends by ensuring you’re connected to the internet and sending your friend a request to trade when they appear online.

Alternatively, you can also use the Global Trade System (GTS) to find other trainers around the world to trade Pokemon with. All you need to do is select a Pokemon you want to offer in a trade and what Pokemon you’re wanting in return. The game will then do the rest and try and match you up with another player wanting to swap. It should be noted, however, that event Pokemon cannot be traded on the GTS, so you’ll need a friend willing to give you one if you’re looking to get that Mew you never got a hold of.
