Pokemon GO: Day & Night Affect What Pokemon You Find

Why don't I see Clefairy during the day? Here's your answer.

Pokemon GO is a dream come true that allows you to catch Pokemon in the real world. If you were wondering why you have been seeing certain Pokemon come out during certain times of the day, that’s because day and night do affect what Pokemon you can catch.

For example, Pokemon such as Gastly and Clefairy will only come out mainly during the late night hours, in keeping with their lore. On the other hand Pokemon like Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander will wander around primarily during the day hours. Keep this in mind as you’re trying to catch ’em all. Travelling to different locations at different times can widen your collection, but always be careful when adventuring at night.
