After 2011’s impressive return to the Deus Ex franchise with Human Revolution, expectations for the next game have been high. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a direct sequel to Human Revolution, starring Adam Jensen again and taking place two years later. An event known as the “Aug Incident” caused mechanically augmented humans to become uncontrollable and violent. This has only helped further prejudice against those who are augmented.
Fans won’t have to wait too much longer for this entry in the series, as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases on August 23, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The standard version will retail at the normal price of $59.99, and has a Day One Edition with some DLC goodies. A Collector’s Edition of the game will also be available for $140 on Xbox One and PS4. This package includes; all of the DLC from the Day One Edition, a collectible steel book with the game, a 48-page art book and a 9″ Adam Jensen figurine.
In addition to the main game, Square Enix will be releasing the mobile spinoff Deus Ex GO. This title will release over the summer close to Mankind Divided, and takes the same turn-based puzzle gameplay we’ve seen in both Lara Croft GO and Hitman GO.
