Stardew Valley: Where to Catch Catfish

Where to Catch Catfish in Stardew Valley

Recommended Videos

Stardew Valley features an array of different fish for you to cast your line at and nab. One such fish is the Catfish. Like the show will have you believe of online romance, this fish is also a tricky one.

The catfish is very hard to catch and your best bet at getting on is within the Secret Woods’ pond during the Summer. In case you don’t know how to get to these Woods, you just head down to where Marnie’s Ranch is and then head west until you reach a fallen log. This can only be chopped up with a steel axe or greater, but once you do, you’ll open up the pathway to the not-so-secret-anymore woods. To the far left of these woods is a freshwater pond where you can fish for your best odds at getting a catfish.

Keep in mind you might also be able to buy one from the Travelling Cart, if you get lucky. Catfish are good for the Community Center specialty fish bundle, so be sure to save one that you catch for that. If you need any other help with Stardew Valley, check out our wiki!
