Today, Idea Factory International announced that Trillion: God of Destruction, an SRPG recently released in Japan under the name Makai Shin Trillion, will be hitting the US and Europe in Spring next year.

The game, developed by Compile Heart, was directed by Masahiro Yamamoto, famous for working on the critically acclaimed Disgaea 4 and The Guided Fate Paradox, and sees players bonding with six demon lords in order to defeat Trillion, a monster with 1,000,000,000,000 HP. This is done by raising character stats through combat and conversation and has you returning to chip away at Trillion’s health over the course of several fights before a set deadline. It’s the first part of Idea Factory’s Hell’s #1 House franchise, consisting of several games of different genres and made by different teams, but with recurring themes and elements reminiscent of the Disgaea franchise.

While Compile Heart has typically made games that went on to garner middling reception, the studio has slowly but surely been improving their craft over the past few years, and with an influx of talent from the wonderful Nippon Ichi Software, it seems as if they’re beginning to make genuine positive strides with what they release. So Trillion could be the first big step to turning their public image around.
