The gameplay footage shows off a host of new abilities that players will have at their disposal. One such feature is the Run to Cover cover system which allows players to soothly select which piece of cover they want Adam to run towards. You can even select your cover whilst you’re already in cover, giving you a tactical advantage.

Another new ability is called Icarus Dash and allows Adam to hurl himself forward in a bolt of lightning. You will be able to use this ability to either take out a large group of enemies or you can use it to quickly traverse your environment like the Blink ability in Dishonored.

Hacking has also had a complete overhaul and you can now hack electronic devices on the fly. See a security camera in your way? No problem, hack it from your hiding place and move on.

Adam also has a new gadget in the form of his non-lethal gun arm which has two modes of firing. Tapping the button will unleash a gust that will topple your enemies, but charging the weapon by holding down the button will unleash a blast which knocks your enemies clean out.

Players will also be able to customize their weapons at any point. Need a change of tactics? No problem. You can switch to non-lethal ammo and fix a suppressor on that rifle of yours. Need some light? Why not just pop a flashlight on your pistol?

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is due to be released on February 23 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Deus Ex franchise recently turned 15, and Square Enix celebrated with a very cool animated trailer.
