Persona 5 was released for the PS3 and PS4 just a couple of years back, and Atlus is ready to steal players’ hearts again with a new and improved version of the game, titled Persona 5 Royal. There’s plenty of new story content to enjoy here, including two new characters and Confidants to interact with. Here’s how to start the Kasumi Yoshizawa Faith Confidant in Persona 5 Royal.
Starting the Kasumi Yoshizawa Faith Confidant in Persona 5 Royal
Kasumi Yoshizawa is introduced as a first year honors student in Shujin Academy, and she represents the Faith arcana. It’ll be a while before you can actually befriend her, but it’s something that will happen naturally as you progress through the story. More specifically, once you clear Kamoshida’s dungeon and reach the school cleanup event at Inokashira Park on 5/13, you’ll get a new cutscene with Kasumi interacting with the main character.
This will mark the start of the Faith Confidant storyline, and from this point on, you’ll be able to spend time with her like any other Confidant in the game. However, there is a slight catch. Kasumi can only be found at Kichijoji, which is a new location in Persona 5 Royal that only gets unlocked after you’ve seen Madarame’s confession.
Once you’ve reached that point, Kichijoji will become available to you, and you’ll find Kasumi hanging in that area during the daytime.
Unlike the other Confidants in the game, Kasumi’s Faith Confidant only has five ranks to it, so it shouldn’t take you too much time to max it out. It’s worth noting that you’ll likely need to max out her Confidant rank before the sixth story dungeon in the game to see more of the new content, but we’ll update this article again once we can confirm that ourselves.
Faith Confidant Skills
Each time you rank up with Kasumi, the main character’s max HP goes up by five points. In addition to that, here are all the new skills you can learn with her:
- Tumbling: Allows you to avoid being surrounded by enemies in Palaces.
- Chaines Hook: Allows you to ambush from a distance by attacking with the grappling hook.
