How Old Dr DisRespect Is
Dr DisRespect is the nickname and character created by Twitch streamer Guy Beahm. Beahm is 35 years old and worked previously as the Community Manager of Sledgehammer and as a level designer on a handful of Call of Duty games, all before becoming a full-time streamer.
He primarily plays battle royale games like H1Z1 and PUBG, becoming the Dr DisRespect character who is somewhere between a WWE character and a YouTuber. He has several well-known catchphrases at this point, deliberately putting across an arrogant and cocky attitude. The persona was first created back in 2010 by Beahm, and started out featuring in a number of videos for Machinima, mostly playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. He then went on an almost five year long hiatus.
The character saw a revival in 2016 when Beahm started a Twitch channel, Dr DisRespectLIVE which at the time of writing now boasts almost 2 million subscribers. He refers to his fans affectionately as the ‘Slick Daddy Club’, who he shouted out after he won the Trending Gamer 2017 award at last year’s Game Awards. On Nov 11, 2017, he was profiled by ESPN.
Despite his cocky alter-ego, Guy Beahm is known in the industry as being a particularly friendly and down-to-Earth guy.
