How to Heal in Fire Emblem Echoes

Recommended Videos

As you’re meeting the enemy on the field of battle in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, no doubt your army will get beaten down and damaged. Luckily, for those moments there are a few different ways to heal, which you’ll definitely want to keep on top of. You’ll only need healing capabilities in battles, as even in dungeons your character’s health will be restored after each battle.

There are two basic methods you can use to heal your units in Fire Emblem Echoes, with recovery items and food, and with healers like the Cleric. Early on in Fire Emblem Echoes, you’ll probably only have one unit with the Recovery ability, so food is going to be your best choice. Each unit can hold one item at a time, including food, which you can use by selecting the unit during battle. Additionally, anyone next to your leader, either Alm or Celica, has access to the Convoy and can use Provisions in your inventory to heal up. You do have a limited stock of these items, however, and the only way to get more is by finding them in towns or dungeons. Because of that, make sure you’re taking stock of your Provisions at all times.

Healing units like Clerics, Priestesses, and Sages can also restore your units’ health. Clerics are initially the only ones with the ability, but Mages always promote to either a Sage or Priestess, which will be granted recovery abilities. You’ll also recruit a few units later on with healing abilities. Just keep in mind that any recovery abilities cost the healing unit HP to use, so you’ll want to keep them protected from enemies in the process.

That’s all you need to know to heal characters in Fire Emblem Echoes. For more tips and guides on Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, make sure to check back in with Twinfinite.
