NieR: Automata – Changing the Pod Skin

Recommended Videos

There’s not a whole lot of customization available in NieR: Automata, but you can actually change your Pod’s skin to give it a different overall look. If you pre-ordered the game, you’ll unlock a neat Grimoire Weiss skin for it. And let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to be accompanied by the great magic book Weiss on a journey to take back Earth?

First off, bring up the game’s main menu and head over to the Items tab. Look for the Key Items option and select that. Here, you’ll find all the important items you’ve picked up over the course of the game. Select the skin that you want to equip, and then hit the Equip option. Once you do this, your Pod will assume the appearance of whatever you picked for it. So if you equipped the Grimoire Weiss skin, exit out of the menu, and you’ll now see a literal magic book following you wherever you go. Now, you’ll get to feel like you’re playing the original NieR again. Too bad the Pod doesn’t get Weiss’ voice.
