Conan Exiles: How to Get Ironstone

How to Get Ironstone – Conan Exiles

Recommended Videos

Ironstone is going to be a pretty important resource to get your hands on in Conan Exiles. Not only is it necessary to craft Iron weaponry and armor, but you’ll also eventually need it to craft Steel, too. Unfortunately, the world of Conan Exiles doesn’t signpost where to find this valuable material in the world, which can make it difficult to find. Don’t worry, though, we’ve got your back.

In order to get Ironstone, you’ll first want to head in a northwest direction from the starting area in the game. If you take a look at the map, you should see what looks like a J tilted about 45 degrees to the left, to the east of the river that runs down the middle. This is where you’ll want to go.

Once you’ve made your way here, you should be stood on a flat plain. To your right, by the wall, you should see a number of small gray rocks. These are Ironstone rocks. Grab your stone pickaxe and go to town on these rocks. This will save you from spending hours mining the larger stones and rocks which have a relatively low drop rate for Ironstone when using the stone pickaxe.

Once you’ve got enough Iron, the first thing you’ll want to do is craft an Iron Pickaxe. This will make it far easier to mine Ironstone from the larger stones littering Conan Exiles’ world in the future.
