This War of Mine: How to Get a Bigger Backpack

Bigger Backpack – This War of Mine

Recommended Videos

This War of Mine sends players into the harsh realities of war. Tasking you with keeping your band of civilians alive in a war-torn city, you’ll need to craft, trade, and use items to take care of them as the days pass by. Of course, to do all of this, you’ll need to scavenge during the cover of darkness and store what you find in your backpack. The problem is, some characters really cannot carry much.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to upgrade your civilians’ backpacks. The amount they can carry pretty much depends on the survivor themselves. For example, Marko is a specialized scavenger and so is able to carry 15 item stacks. The likes of Katie or Pavle, on the other hand, can only carry 12 item stacks. Therefore, This War of Mine requires players to think carefully about who they send out, as well as how they manage the resources they scavenge.

If you’re really struggling with the small inventory sizes of some civilians in This War of Mine, check out Boris if you manage to add him into your group. He may be slow, but he can carry the most in the game at 17 item stacks. Hopefully, he’ll reduce your need for a bigger backpack.
