Microsoft Pulls Scalebound Trailers and Briefings from YouTube

Scalebound, microsoft, e3 2016

There it goes…

Today Microsoft officially announced that the Xbox One exclusive from Platinum Games, Scalebound, is cancelled. Shortly after that announcement, it looks like all video relating to Scalebound have been pulled from the official Xbox YouTube channel. It was first spotted by Twitter users, and indeed if you click on a Scalebound video on Xbox’s channel it merely brings up a “This video is unavailable screen.”

Of course, the trailers and presentations are still available through a plethora of other channels on the site, including IGNGamespot, and even Platinum’s own channel. We’ll have to wait and see if any of these video subsequently get taken down.

Scalebound was an Xbox One exclusive planned for release in 2017, after seeing multiple delays. The title was originally announced way back at E3 2014, and we’d only seen a few different trailers and gameplay presentations since. Platinum Games is best known for titles like Bayonetta, Vanquish, and Metal Gear Rising. The studio’s next game is NieR: Automata, which is releasing on March 7, 2017 for PlayStation 4.

What do you think about Scalebound being cancelled? Would you still like to see Platinum develop something similar in the future? Let us know what you think down in the comments below.
