Is Resident Evil 7 PS4 Pro Compatible?

Survival horror fans rejoice! Resident Evil 7 has finally released and players will be busy making their way around the spooky Baker estate. While the game looks great on the standard PS4 and Xbox One, those with the latest Sony console will be wondering if Resident Evil 7 is PS4 Pro compatible.

The good news is that it absolutely is. The PS4 Pro makes Resident Evil 7’s spooky environments that little bit crisper, with more clarity in textures. This improvement in the image quality will be noticeable at both 108oP and a 4K resolution. However, for the best results with the PS4 Pro, a 4K resolution is your best bet. If you want to get an idea of the difference in image quality between the normal PS4 and PS4 Pro, check out Candyland’s comparison video below.

The Pro will also help to improve the visual fidelity of the game when playing with your PSVR headset.

Of course, both the standard PS4, the Pro, and Xbox One S versions of the game also have HDR support, meaning that the horror will be brought to life via a wider gamut of available colors. Expect blacker blacks and more vibrant colors as a result.
