These pretty games will now be even prettier.
One of the features of the PS4 Pro is the ability to upgrade already released titles with some of the power of the new console thanks to “forward compatibility” to provide 4K and/or HDR gaming. To support the feature right out of the box when the PS4 Pro releases, a few currently existing games will be waiting with updates to take advantage of the powerful hardware.
Here’s all of the currently released titles that will be forward compatible with the Pro:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops III
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Infamous: First Light
- Killing Floor 2
- Middle Earth: Shadow of Morder
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Sony has also unveiled some unreleased titles that will take advantage of the power and be forward compatible as well:
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
- Days Gone
- Dishonored 2
- Final Fantasy XV
- For Honor
- Horizon: Zero Dawn
- Mass Effect Andromeda
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Skyrim: Special Edition
It will be interesting to see just how much of the PS4 Pro’s power the already released games will use. We’ll all be able to find out when the console is finally available on Nov. 10.
