No Man’s Sky: How to Get Antimatter and What it Does

Antimatter – No Man’s Sky

Antimatter is an incredibly important resource in No Man’s Sky as it is used to basically help you traverse the giant universe that awaits you. With such a huge distance to cover, you’ll find yourself needing antimatter quite frequently. Here’s how to get it and what it does.

Antimatter is basically the fuel that will power your expedition across No Man’s Sky’s universe and finding it is one of the main gameplay loops you’ll find yourself frequently doing. It’s used to build a warp cell, which you can then use to charge your hyperdrive, which then allows you to warp to a new area of the galaxy that you’re in. Of course, the further distance you need to cover, the more you’ll need to enhance the yield of this crafting loop.

So far, we’ve found that Antimatter can be bought at markets or trade terminals for 48,000 units. However, you can also craft it to save yourself some money. When you enter the next solar system, after completing the game’s little tutorial, the game will place some markers on planets. Follow these markers and it will lead you to the Antimatter formula. Now that you have the formula, you can craft antimatter and make more warp cells.

In order to craft this handy resource, you’ll need the required ingredients that are stated on your crafting menu including Electron Vapor. Once you have all of the required resources, simply hold down X as you would for anything else and the resource will be crafted and placed in your inventory.
