Pokken Tournament Is Coming to Wii U with a Wrestling Pikachu

Until today, we knew everything about the Pokémon fighting game Pokken Tournament except for when we could play it. Now it’s officially confirmed that Pokken Tournament is coming to Wii U in spring 2016.

According to Serebii, the release date was officially revealed during the Pokemon World Championships. The trailer also revealed the tenth playable character Pikachu Libre. True to his name, Pikachu Libre is dressed in lucha libre gear and is shown fighting in a wrestling ring.

Today, a Pokken Tournament exhibition will take place at the Pokémon World Championships. It will be streamed on the Pokemon Twitch channel at 1:30 p.m. EDT/10:30 a.m. PDT.
