Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Pokken Tournament which revealed that the first ever Fire/Fighting starter, Blaziken, will be joining the fight soon.

The trailer revealed that Blaziken will be able to attack its opponents at both close and long range with a variety of fire attacks. Blaziken will also be a threat in the air however, as it will be able to use ranged fire attacks, juggle opponents with kicks, and use what appears to be Brave Bird to close in on distant opponents. Like Pokemon such as Lucario, Blaziken will be able to turn into Mega Blaziken for its Burst Mode attack.

According to Gematsu, Blaziken was first revealed as a playable character for Pokken Tournament in the recent issue of Famitsu, where it was also revealed that it will be added in an update this August.

This news means that along with the recently announced Charizard and Weavile, Blaziken will bring the games roster up to nine playable characters.

So what’s your opinion on Blaziken being added to Pokken Tournament, and what other Pokemon would you love to see playable? Let us know in the comments below.
