Bandai Namco has announced that their long awaited Pokemon fighting game, Pokken Tournament, will be coming to Japanese arcades on July 16. As well as announcing the release date, Bandai Namco also released two new trailers showing off the newest members of the game’s roster; Charizard and Weavile.

Starting with Charizard, his trailer showcases him as a mixed range powerhouse with attacks including Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower and Stomp. On top of this, Charizard will also be capable of Mega Evolving into Mega Charizard X.

Weavile, on the other hand, is more of a speed based character. Its trailer revealed that Weavile’s move-set will include fury swipe, shadow claw, ice punch as well an ice projectile move, which it seems can only be used in the air.

Weavile and Charizard will join Pokken Tournament’s current playable roster which currently includes Lucario, Machamp, Pikachu, Gardevoir, Suicune, and Gengar.

Bandai Namco also announced that Japanese gamers who play the game while using their Bandai Namco Passport Card before July 31 will be able to use Jirachi and Whimsicott as support Pokemon.
