Sonic Forces: How to Save Your Game

How to Save in Sonic Forces

Recommended Videos

The early stages of Sonic Forces are particularly quick and easy to run through, so you may find yourself completely forgetting to keep track of your progress. When there are new stages to see, new plot points in the story to get to, and new content to unlock so you can turn your character into the baddest anthropomorphic rebel around, it’s easy to overlook the fact that you haven’t actually saved your game in quite a while. The good news is, you don’t need to worry about it. Sonic Forces will automatically save your progress after you complete a stage and it will save every time a cutscene has been completed.

This is great news for forgetful gamers but if you were hoping for an option to save the game in the middle of a stage, you’re in for a bit of a disappointment. The stages are filled with checkpoints but don’t think there is a way to cheat the system by saving before you have actually reached one. There won’t be a save option to access after you have started a stage so just make sure you’re ready to dedicate to completing a stage before you dive on in.
