Sucker Punch Announces Ghost of Tsushima

On the (cutting) blade’s edge.

Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima is a brand new triple-A title coming to PlayStation 4, as announced today during Sony’s livestream at Paris Games Week.

Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world title that will take place during the samurai era in feudal Japan. It’s also a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

The trailer shows off the Mongols overtaking Japanese villages and burn down others as the island of Tsushima is overrun. Players take up the role of a lone surviving samurai who must use the way of the Ghost to take back his land.

This is Sucker Punch’s latest effort since 2014’s Infamous: Last Light, and it marks the developer’s return to developing triple-A titles. There’s no concrete release date for Ghost of Tsushima just yet, but it’s coming at some point, like several of the other titles announced during the show, in 2018.
