Starting Salmon Run Mode in Splatoon 2

Recommended Videos

Salmon Run is a brand new co-op horde mode in Splatoon 2, and it allows four players to team up together as they try to take down the evil Salmonids while collecting Golden Eggs. However, unlike the other online modes in the game, Salmon Run will only be available during scheduled times. You can check the online schedules for the maps and modes in the game’s menu.

When the mode is available, an area called Grizzco Industries will open. Head to the building to the left of the main online lobby in Inkopolis square, and complete the necessary tutorials that the game gives you. After completing all the tutorial stages, you’ll then be able to start playing the mode online with other players.

When Salmon Run isn’t available, you can still play it locally, but do note that you won’t gain money or experience through local play. This can be done by setting up a private match in the Shoal.

More About Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 is the follow-up to Splatoon, the inky shooter game released on the Wii U two years ago. Take control of a kid, splat your enemies with ink, and transform into a squid whenever you feel like it.
