Is Cuphead Coming to Nintendo Switch?
Cuphead is a different kind of platformer, made up in the style of 1930s cartoons. Its vibrant art style is hand drawn and incredibly unique, while its gameplay is done in the run and gun style. There’s a branching level sequence that’s based around continuous boss fights, displayed via an RPG-like overworld and 2D platforming levels. Naturally, with the type of game Cuphead is, Nintendo fans might be wondering if they can expect the title on the Nintendo Switch.
Unfortunately, at the moment, a release on the Nintendo Switch doesn’t seem likely for Cuphead. It’s currently planned as an Xbox One and PC exclusive, with the developers stating in an interview with Time that the game will continue to be an Xbox exclusive in the console space. They will, however, be making it available in as many ways as possible on PC.
Even though the game was announced over three years ago, we still don’t currently have a release date for the game. We’ll make sure to update this article if any new information is given regarding a release date or other platforms.
