Overwatch: 5 Game Modes That Could Be Next

We never want our watch to end.

5) A variation on Kill Confirmed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 introduced a game mode titled “Kill Confirmed.” In it, players would have to obtain the dog tags of the fallen enemy they previously killed. Only then would the kill be “confirmed,” and would they earn points toward the overall team total. It encouraged players to implement exciting and mart strategies, and was a nice change of pace from the usual Team Deathmatch affairs.

Overwatch is all about teamwork, and this same team work could definitely work in a variation on Kill Confirmed. Maybe you have to protect a specific player who can only be killed for points. Maybe the implementation of “dog tags,” or other character specific tokens are harder to get due to the various character abilities. Given how mature Kill Confirmed was in Modern Warfare 3, it seems unlikely that we’ll get such a mode, but it would be a very interesting mode to see.
