S Tier Squad Busters Characters

• Archer Queen — Archer Queen is one of the best offensive units in Squad Busters. In her baby form, she can increase other ranged units’ attack speed, and in her classic form, she gets exploding arrows, which can win you encounters in the first seconds. She is simply OP.
• Barbarian King — Barbarian King is a must if you are running with a melee team comp. The attack speed he provides for his allies is invaluable. Plus, his classic ability can knock away enemies that try to engage you and allow you to escape, or it may just straight-up one-shot them.
• Hog Rider — Similar to Max, Hog Rider improves the mobility of your squad immensely, and that’s a must in this game.
• Trader — Trader is by far the best gold farming unit in Squad Busters. If you add Greg or Mavis to the mix, then you’ll literally be golden. Try to stack as much gold as you can before you get another trader for maximum gains.
• Jessie — Jessie’s turrets are probably the best utility tool in Squad Busters. They allow you to lock off areas of the map and completely stonewall enemies. Use her together with Archer Queen for max DPS.
• Leon — Leon is one of the best new ranged DPS characters. Plus, he can make your squad invisible and give them speed boosts. You’ll need to get him to 3-stars to get his best perk, though.
• Ice Wizard — Ice Wizard’s ability, Ice Fan, can literally win you fights. However, you’ll need to get him to 2/4 stars to make him useful.

A Tier Squad Busters Characters

• Archer — Archer is another viable ranged DPS option that works really well with Archer Queen. However, Leon seems like a better option.
• Greg — Greg is arguably the second-best gold-farming character in Squad Busters. He is best used for the early game, as he can accelerate you immensely.
• Bandit — Bandit is an upgraded version of Goblin. Fuse two of her in the same match, and you’ll receive insane amounts of gems each time you bust a medium or larger monster. This alone can win you games sometimes.
• Mavis — Mavis is a combination of Medic and Goblin. However, you’ll have to go out of your way towards carrot patches to get all that value.
• Penny — Penny can deal solid damage, and she can help you keep your lead. However, Trader + Hog Rider seems like a better combo right now.
• Max — Movement is crucial, especially in pro play, and Max provides just that. She or Hog Rider must be on your team, though Max is the worst of the two.
• Mortis — Mortis has arguably the best minions in the game. They will provide extra damage and tankiness to your party, and they can also tank enemies’ strongest abilities.
• Tank — In her baby form, Tank isn’t really that OP. However, once you get her to three stars, she becomes arguably the best DPS in the game. Combine her with the Archer Queen and a healer, and she will literally be invulnerable.

B Tier Squad Busters Characters

• Barbarian — In his baby form, the Barbarian is one of the worst units in the game. However, once you evolve him and get his super and ultra perks, he is easily an A-tier melee pick.
• Nita — Nita’s bear can tank a lot, but otherwise, she is pretty meh. Consider her an upgrade to El Primo.
• Pam — Pam is slightly better than Medic and slightly worse than Battle Healer. She is a solid option if you have no other sustain.
• Chicken — Chicken is a mix of Medic and Hog Rider. It’s pretty good nowadays, though having Hog Rider or Max is just better.
• Shelly — Shelly is another strong ranged DPS you can pair with Archer Queen. However, she can be underwhelming before you get her evolutions.
• Battle Healer — Battle Healer is an alternative to Medic. The only difference is that she can give you bonus flat health, which might be more important than a higher HP regen.
• Wizard — Wizard’s spells can give you immense value. However, there are better offensive options on most modes.

C Tier Squad Busters Characters

• El Primo — El Primo is a really good tank, and that’s it. He will save your skin sometimes, but there are better options than him.
• Medic — Medic is a healer, and he does that very well. However, he doesn’t work on all game modes, as teams who can one-shot make his regen meaningless.
• Colt — Colt, just like Shelly, is another unit you can use together with Archer Queen instead of Tank or Jessie. However, Shelly is a bit better by default.
• Bea — If you can fuse multiple Beas in a single match, she can be OP. However, getting a more balanced squad with Archer Queen, Tank, etc., is better straight-up.
• Miner — Being untargetable does have its merits. However, Miner’s other utility is subpar compared to other melees.
• Witch — Witch’s skeletons can aggro your enemies, allowing your DPSs to do their thing. However, they aren’t tanky enough to make Witch meta.

D Tier Squad Busters Characters

• Dynamike — Dynamike is really only good on Doppelganger. For everything else, he doesn’t perform that well.
• Heavy — More often than not, having Heavy on your team is a liability. There are better DPSs and tanks than him.
• Bo — Bo is an excellent ranged DPS you can use in the early game to deal with monsters. However, he falls off a lot the longer the game lasts.
• Goblin — Goblin is probably the worst resource-farming unit in Squad Busters. He just doesn’t provide enough value until you evolve him. I can’t see him being used over Trader, Greg, or someone else.

E Tier Squad Busters Characters

• Royale King — Royale King’s summons are just really bad. He doesn’t do much damage, and he isn’t that great of a tank.
• Dr. T — Dr. T is so disappointing. Because he is an epic unit, you’ll usually be getting him later in the match, and by that time, his crab will just be outscaled by other characters.
