Attack on Titan’s Season 2 Trailer Ramps up the Action and Drama

Here we go again.

Attack on Titan took the world by storm when it aired in 2013, with its steampunk-esque style and desperate story about the survival of humanity. Fans have eagerly been awaiting a second season since then, and now the first trailer for it has arrived. Luckily, North American licensor Funimation has taken the liberty of subtitling the trailer, which you can see below. The anime series is based on a manga series of the same name by Hajime Isayama.

The video runs roughly two minutes, but gives us a pretty good look at what to expect. We see quite a few new titans, including the Beast Titan you have seen recently in the Attack on Titan game, and a smaller titan battling larger ones. Quite a few familiar faces return like Sasha and Eren, along with some brand new warriors.

Attack on Titan Season 2 is set to air sometime in Spring of 2017. Stay tuned for more details on the date, and how the series will be simulcast in North America. If you’re still unfamiliar with the series, you can see everything you need to know right here.

Are you excited to see Season 2 of Attack on Titan? Do you hope the show goes a different direction than the manga, or stays close to its source material? Let us know what you think down in the comments below.
