The highly anticipated PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is quite a ways away, but 343 Industries assures gamers the wait will be worth it thanks to an insane number of playable maps.

Several months ago, 343 announced it would copy user-generated game types and maps from the original versions of Halo 3, 4, and Reach for use in The Master Chief Collection. Who wouldn’t want their magnum opus of a level immortalized in a game collection that celebrates the Halo franchise?

To participate, players needed to store their game types and maps in their Xbox profile’s file share. Game types were collected on August 12th, whereas maps were compiled on August 26th. While the map migration only lasted one day, 343 amassed an overwhelming number of custom levels that has to be seen to be believed:

While the studio only collected user-generated content from Halo 3, 4, and Reach, you have to admit that over 6.6 million maps is absolutely jaw-dropping. Gamers will have no shortage of multiplayer content, although odds are good more than a few collected levels are duplicates of other, more popular custom maps.

All the custom game types and maps that 343 collected will be playable on the Xbox One and PC versions of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. However, these maps won’t be available until Halo: Reach is patched into the collection. If you were hoping to play a rousing game of Jenga Tower made in Halo 3, you will have to wait a while.

Regardless of whether you plan to pick up the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection or stick with the already available Xbox One version, these user-generated maps will probably keep you entertained for years to come.
