Today, Bandai Namco confirmed that the online matchmaking issues that some Tekken 7 players are suffering from will be addressed in an upcoming update.
The news comes via a post over on the official Tekken website. Currently, players are having to wait upwards of 10 minutes before they can finally jump into battle with another player. Some players can’t even play online at all, with Tekken 7 constantly disconnecting them from other players once a match has been found.
The post said the following:
“We have received inquiries from a number of customers regarding situations in which they appear to have trouble matching with other players in Ranked Match.
We are currently investigating the issue and plan to address the problem through an online update scheduled to modify the game spec and improve matching. Player and opponent character will no longer be displayed when searching for a match in Ranked Match.
More details regarding the update will be posted to the official Tekken site.
We apologize for any inconvenience which this may cause in the meantime.
The TEKKEN Team”
While Bandai Namco has yet to confirm a release date for the patch that will hopefully fix Tekken 7’s online matchmaking woes, it hopefully shouldn’t be too long until its released. We’ll be sure to update you as and when the patch is released.
Tekken 7 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out our full review here.
